This timelapse of the southern lights look absolutely unreal

Auroras attract photographers like bees to honey, but Che McPherson’s timelapse of the southern lights, a.k.a. the aurora australis, over Queenstown, New Zealand on Sunday will certainly inspire awe.

“[This] aurora was a little different to the ones Ive seen before,” McPherson told Storyful. “This was beautifully dancing as it lit up the sky, with the most intense green I have seen from any aurora.”

It’s certainly something that doesn’t look like it belongs on planet Earth, if you ask us.
