‘Kingdom Hearts III’ doesn’t have an E3 presence, but it does have a new trailer

Here’s the good news: Kingdom Hearts III still looks great.

The long-awaited major sequel in Square Enix’s Disney-meets-Final Fantasy series got a new trailer on the eve of E3, and we still can’t wait to play it just like we did when it was first revealed at E3 2013.

Unfortunately, while this trailer (or something like it) may pop up during one of the E3 2017 press conferences Sony is the most likely contender we don’t have any appointments scheduled for it, nor did we receive an email about there being any. Trailer or not, Kingdom Hearts III won’t have much of an E3 presence.

But hey, this isn’t a trailer for a game. It’s a trailer for a trailer. As you learn at the end of this two-minute peek, another trailer is coming at the D23 Expo on July 15, 2017. I know it’s been a long wait, but take heart: this sudden appearance of a gameplay-heavy trailer, with another one to come a month later, bodes well for the possibility of a 2018 release.
